Use 1 cup of filling for 4-5 sandwiches. 1. chopped raisins or other dried fruits mixed with cream cheese, cottage cheese, or mayo. 2. peanut butter moistened with salad dressing and mixed with raisins, bananas, figs, dates, celery, olives, marmalade, cut marshmallows, jam or tomato catsup spread on bread with crisp lettuce. 3. cream or cottage cheese mixed with shredded pineapple or raisins and chopped nuts--on Boston brown bread. 4. cream or cottage cheese mixed with chopped, stuffed olives and mayonnaise dressing. 5. tuna fish mixed with parsley, lemon juice, other seasonings and onion. 6. chopped hard-cooked eggs, chopped ham or bacon, salt, pepper, mayo. 7. mashed sardines with equal amount of hard-cooked chopped eggs seasoned with salt, lemon juice, melted butter or margarine. 8. bananas, lemon juice, brown or maple sugar, chopped nuts on whole wheat bread. 9. grated American cheese, mixed with peppers, chopped stuffed olives, and mayo.
10. grated Swiss cheese, chopped nuts, mayo on rye bread. 11. to a 1/2 lb of cottage cheese add 4 Tbsp of chili sauce and a dash of worcestershire. Mixed olives may be added. Spread on buttered whole wheat bread. 12. to 4 Tbsp creamed butter add 1/2 cup flaked sardines, 2 Tbsp tomato catsup, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, and 6 chopped olives. Spread on crisp whole wheat crackers. Tuna fish or salamon may be used in place of sardines. 13. cream 1/2 lb cream cheese and 2 Tbsp butter. Add 1/4 cup orange juice, 1/2 cup chopped pimientos, 1 cup chopped nuts and 1/2 tsp of salt. Spread between slices of buttered whole wheat or oatmeal bread. 14. Mix honey and chopped nuts and spread on buttered bread. 15. Chop 3 boiled, skinned frankfurters; mix with 3 Tbsp mayo and 1/4 tsp prepared mustard. 16. add 1 Tbsp chili sauce and 1/4 tsp salt to 1/4 cup firm mayo. To this add 3 hard cooked eggs, chopped. Spread on buttered slices of white or whole wheat bread.
17. Mix 1/2 cup chopped nuts, 1/2 cup grated carrots, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 1/2 Tbsp salad oil and 1 tsp lemon juice. 18. cream 1/4 lb butter or margarine; add 3 Tbsp sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Spread on slices of bread. Also good toasted. 19. chop very fine 1/2 lb dried beef mixed with 1/4 lb grated American cheese; add 1 pt tomatoes and cook until thick. When cold, serve as a filling for white bread sandwiches. A leaf lettuce in each sandwich is a good addition. 20. wash and slice apples; rub slices with lemon juice to prevent apples from turning brown. spread slices with- cream cheese and nuts, cream cheese and chopped red and green peppers, cream cheese and olives. Two slices of apples with cream cheese filling may be wrapped in wax paper of if the slices of apple are kept together the filling may be spread between the slices and the entire apple wrapped in wax paper. This may serve as a salad or dessert for nosebag lunches.
