Blend oil or melted butter, sugar and vanilla in large mixing bowl; add eggs; using a spoon, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually blend into egg mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan. Cool; frost with creamy brownie frosting. Cut into squares.

Creamy Brownie Frosting- Melt 2 blocks (2 ounces) unsweetened baking chocolate, and 2 Tablespoon butter or margarine in top of double boiler over hot, not boiling water. Combine 1 3/4 cups confectioners sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt in small mixing bowl; gradually add chocolate mixture and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Add 2 to 3 Tablespoons water; beat to spreading consistency.
