     Vanilla Ice Cream - Cindy

Ingredients
Milk (2Qt-2c, 3Qt-2 1/2c, 4Qt-3c, 5Qt-3 1/2c, 6Qt-4c)
White Sugar (2Qt-1c, 3Qt-1 1/2c, 4Qt-1 3/4c, 5Qt-2 1/2c, 6Qt-2 3/4c)
Salt (2Qt-dash, 3Qt-1/4tsp, 4Qt-1/2tsp, 5Qt-1/2tsp, 6Qt-3/4tsp)
Half and Half (2Qt-1c, 3Qt-1 1/2c, 4Qt-2c, 5Qt-2 1/2c, 6Qt-3c)
Vanilla Extract (2Qt-1 1/2tsp, 3Qt-1 3/4tsp, 4Qt-1 Tbl, 5Qt-1 1/2Tbl, 6Qt-2Tbl)
Whipping Cream (2Qt-1c, 3Qt-2c, 4Qt-3c, 5Qt-4c, 6Qt-5c)
 

Instructions
Scald milk until bubbles form around edge. Remove heat. Add sugar and salt. Stir until dissolved. Stir in half and half, vanilla and whipping cream. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Freeze as directed.
Mix-ins- Strawberry - Add pureed strawberries (1 1/2c for 2 quart, 4 cups for 4 quart, 5 cups for 5 quart, or 6 cups for 6 quart) to chilled mixture before freezing. Banana - Add mashed bananas (1 1/2c for 2 quart, 3 cups for 4 quart, 3 1/2 cups for 5 quart, or 4 cups for 6 quart) to chilled mixture before freezing. Peach - Add pureed peaches (1 1/2c for 2 quart, 4 cups for 4 quart, 5 cups for 5 quart, or 6 cups for 6 quart) to chilled mixture before freezing. Cookie - Add crumbled chocolate sandwich cookies (or any cookie of your choice) to the mixture during the last 5-10 minutes of the mixing. (10 cookies-2Qt, 20 cookies-4Qt, 30 cookies-6Qt) Candy - Add your favorite chocolate candy during the last 5-10 minutes of mixing. (1/2c-2Qt, 1c-4Qt, 2c-6Qt)
