Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly butter a 9x12x2 in. oval baking dish. Melt ½ pound of butter and set aside to cool.
Beat the eggs and sugar on medium-high speed for 5 to 10 min, until very thick and light yellow.
Sift the cocoa powder and flour together and set aside.
Reduce speed of egg and sugar mixture to low and add the vanilla seeds, framboise, cocoa powder, and flour mixture. Mix only until combined. Slowly pour in cooled butter and mix again until just combined.
Pour brownie mixture into prepared dish and place into a large baking pan. Add enough hot water to pan to come halfway up the side of the dish. Bake for 1 hr.
