1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
|

2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
|

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
|

1/2 cup sugar
|

1 egg, beaten
|

1/2 cup milk
|
| |
1/4 cup butter, melted
|
| |
1 1/2 peeled, chopped apples
|
| |
1/4 cup brown sugar
|
|
|
| |
2 tablespoons flour
|
| |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
|
| |
2 tablespoons butter
|

Instructions |

|
|
Sift first four ingredients. Combine egg, milk,
melted butter and apples. Add to dry ingredients and
stir only enough to moisten.

Turn into greased 8-inch square pan.
|
|
|
|
Mix dry ingredients for topping, cut in butter and
sprinkle over batter.
|
|
|
|
Bake at 400 degrees F until a skewer inserted in
center comes out clean, about 30 minutes.
