     Garlic Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
3-4 tomatoes, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
olive oil
250g ground meat
basil, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper
5 cloves garlic, minced or thinly sliced
chicken broth
2 tbs labneh (optional)
fresh basil (optional)
 
parmesan, grated

Instructions
1. Form ground meatinto small balls. Cook in olive oil and set aside.
2. In same pan, saute onions and spices in olive oil until soft. Add garlic and stir for a few minutes.
3. Add tomatoes with one cup of chicken broth. Add paste if needed. Cook until soft. Add basil, labneh and salt and pepper to taste. Puree if desired.
4. Add in meatballs. Serve over rice or veggies and sprinkle with Parmesan.
