     Korean Chicken

Ingredients
For the Marinade
1 c sugar
1 c soy sauce
1 c water
1 t onion powder
1 t ground ginger
1 T lemon juice or calamansi
4 t hot chili paste
 
2 kilos chicken leg quarters

Instructions
Make the marinade- In a saucepan over high heat, whisk sugar, soy sauce, water, onion and ginger. Boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool, then whisk lemon juice and chili paste.
Place chicken in the mixture and marinade for 4 hours or overnight. Place in a plastic container and store in freezer until ready to cook.
Thaw chicken and grill or bake in a preheated 350F oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until cooked.
