1 1/2 cups of self rise cake flour
(or regular cake flour and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 egg yolks
1 cup of sugar
3/4 cups of hot milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
3 egg whites
1/2 cup of sugar

Beat together egg yolks with 1 cup of sugar, hot milk, and vanilla. Add to flour and beat well. Beat egg whites with 1/2 cup of sugar until stiff. Fold in yolk mixture. Bake in greased pan at 350 for 20 - 25 minutes.
