Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugars, vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. In separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture. Beat well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop y rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
