     Guiness Beef Stew

Ingredients
2.5-3lbs eye round roast cut into 1 inch cubes
1/4-1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce (enough to cover meat in marinade)
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 cup flour
1 14 ounce bottle or can Guiness.
4 tablespoons tomato paste
1 onion cut into bit size pieces
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons fresh thyme
 
2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 cups beef stock
2 tablespoons fresh parsley
1 teaspoon Black pepper
2 strips bacon ( I use turkey)
1 lbs carrots
1 lbs baby gold or red potatoes. if using larger potato cut into quarters.
3 teaspoons minced garlic

Instructions
Season beef with salt, and onion powder. place in container and marinate with Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic for at least 2 hours.
Pre-heat skillet over medium-high heat. spray with cooking spray Remove beef from marinade. lightly coat with flour. place in skillet along with 1 teaspoon minced g and let brown for about 10 minutes turning half way
Add beef and the remaining ingredients to crock pot turn to high and cook for at least four hours or low for 8-10 hours. if stew is to thin combine 3 tablespoons cornstarch with 3 tablespoons beefstock turn back to high and allow to bubble.for 5-10 mins.
