In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
Beat at medium speed until dough forms, about 5
minutes. Chill two hours or up to 4 days.
Shape 1 heaping teaspoon dough into 1/4-inch thick
rope shapes 3 to 4 inches long. Form into holiday
shapes and put directly onto ungreased cookie
sheet. Push parts of cookies together to prevent
breaking after baking. If dough becomes soft while
shaping, rechill.
Decorate cookies with colored sugars, red hot
cinnamon candies, chocolate chips, and/or raisins
before baking. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at
375 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool cookies 10 minutes and creafully remove from
cookie sheet.
