Ingredients
2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 shortening
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp sugar
 
2 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Instructions
Sift together first 4 ingredients. Cream shortening and butter with sugar and eggs until fluffy and light. At low speed, beat in flour mixture until batter is dough-like; chill until easy to handle. Form dough into walnut-sized balls; roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
