     Blue Ribbon Dill Pickles

Ingredients
7 Wide Mouth quart jars, lids and rings
Fresh dill and several inches of stem
cucumbers,washed and scrubbed
1 garlic, clove (or more)
Brine-
8 1/2 cup water
2 1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 c pickling salt
 

Instructions
Place jars in hot water along with lids. Combine ingredients for brine and bring to boil. Place cucumbers, dill and garlic in jars. Pour brine over cucumbers and seal jars. Place in hot bath up to the rim of the jars, bring to boil and remove. Let cool slowly.
