     Pie Glaze

Ingredients
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp of lemon juice
 

Instructions
Bring to a boil all ingredients except lemon juice. Cook 3 minutes or until clear. When near done, stir in lemon juice.
NOTE- Grandma (Audrey) Chaney would use this over fresh strawberry pies, but it can be used on other fruits as well. I once covered a cheesecake with all kinds of sliced fruits and then coated the top with this.
