     Mexican Stuffed Shells

Ingredients
2 lbs. hamburger
1 large can of Hunt's tomato sauce
2 pkgs taco seasoning
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 bottle (large) Pace Picante sauce
1 can (small) green chilies, diced (Optional: peppers)
1 box (jumbo) shells
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use large rectangular baking pan.
Brown hamburger, drain. Boil water for jumbo shells and follow direction on box. While hamburger is browning, mix tomato sauce, Picante sauce and 1 can of water (from the tomato can) in a medium bowl. Add taco seasoning. Mix well.
Add tomato sauce/picante sauce mixture to hamburger. Add peppers if desired. Stir. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of cheddar cheese to meat mixtue. Turn to low heat.
Prepare baking pan (8-1/2 x 12). Cover bottom of dish with sauce mixture, reserving enough for on top of the shells. Cool shells with cold water (they handle better). Stuff shells and lay in baking pan (2 pans may be needed). Cover shells with remaining sauce then cover with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbling (around 30 minutes). Do not cover.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with Mexican rice if desired
