     French dip

Ingredients
3 lb. chuck roast
2 cups water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
1 bay leaf
3-4 whole peppercorns
Onion soup mix
 
8 Rolls , we use Italian
Beef broth - optional

Instructions
Mix water, soy sauce and seasonings in slow cooker, add roast. Sprinkle roast with one tbsp of dry onion soup mix. Cover. Cook on high about three hours, or until meat is tender. Slice roast into thin slices, place back into broth. Note, to increase dipping sauce, add liquid beef broth shortly before meat is done.
We serve with sautéd onions and peppers.
