Ingredients
1 package active dry yeast
1-1/2 cups warm water
1 cup unseasoned lukewarm mashed potatoes
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
1-1/2 tsp. salt
6 - 7 cups flour
 

Instructions
Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl. Stir in potatoes, sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and 3 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Add flour until easy to handle. Knead until smooth and elastic. Put in greased bowl and put in refridgerator for at least 8 hours.
Roll out dough and cut with a doughnut cutter and let rise. Fry in vegetable oil at 375 degrees until golden brown.
