     Spongy Maple Pound Cake

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None
Servings   3-4
Preptime   10minutes

Ingredients
flour 300g
1/2 cup sugar
a pinch of salt
1/2 cup maple syrup
4 table spoons yogurt
3/4 of butter stick
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Instructions
Take out a bowl, and first put the butter and sugar in the bowl. Now this is very important you have to whisk the sugar and butter together till the butter turns white but make sure that the butter doesn't melt( the key is to whisk quickly).
Now add the flour and eggs and whisk till they blend together. Then add vanilla, yogurt and maple syrup and whisk again. When you put the yogurt in it makes the cake very fluffy and spongy and it also replaces half of the milk so it is a very useful ingredient.
Then put the rest of the ingredients, but when you pour in the milk do it little by little so that you can whisk it cleanly. When that's done pre-heat the oven to 160c and prepare a square or round shaped pan to bake the cake.
First flour the pan lightly to make sure they don't stick to the pan when baked, then pour the batter inside the pan. Cook for about 35-40 minutes, make sure they are thoroughly cooked and you are finished.
