cook squash in a saucepan of boiling salted water for 3 minutes. add tortellini and cook according to package directions. drain and set aside.
brown bacon in skillet until crisp. remove to paper towels.
melt butter in skillet. add sage and cook until butter browns. stir in wine and sugar. cook 1 minute. add tortellini, squash, and bacon. toss to heat through.
finish by topping with lemon juice, parsley, and pepper.
