Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream shortening and
sugar. Add egg, extract, and beat. Sift dry
ingredients together. Add about 1/3 of this to the
creamed mixture blending thoroughly after each
addition. Pack into cookie press. Make desired
shape on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-9 minutes.
Makes 7 dozen.
