Coat bottom of saucepan with olive oil. In food processor (or chop by hand), chop the onion, pepper, garlic and hot peppers. Put in saucepan and cook until almost clear (onions) then put in ground beef and brown.
Open cans of tomatoes and salsa. When beef is done add them to mixture and mix - put on medium heat to cook to a gentle boil. Add seasonings and you may want to add some water - about 1/2-1 cup since it will evaporate while cooking.
After about 20-30 mins at gentle boil, lower to simmer until sauce is thickened.
Good the next day and excellent cold on celery sticks or crackers for a quick snack/lunch.
