1. Melt margerine in large pot.
2. Add sugar, egg, dates, and vanilla.
3. Cook until thick- about 5 minutes
4. Add pecans and rice krispies
5. Let cool. Shape into small balls and roll in shredded coconut.

Place balls in small cupcake papers for a more fancy presentation!
