     Chopped Salad

Ingredients
CANDIED CINNAMON PECANS-
1/3 C sliced-lengthwise pecans
1/2 t cinnamon
1 T dark brown sugar
1 1/2 t butter, melted
BLUE CHEESE VINAIGRETTE-
1/4 C EVOO 1/4 C white or champagne vinegar
1/4 t balsamic vinegar 2 t Dijon mustard
2 T sour cream 2 T chopped fresh basil
 
S & P to taste 1/2 C crumbled blue cheese
SALAD-
3 C chopped bibb or butter lettuce
3 C chopped red leaf lettuce
3 C chopped iceberg lettuce
1 green onion chopped

Instructions
Candied Cinnamon Pecans- Slice each pecan into 3 lengthwise pcs. Mix cinnamon and br. sugar. Toss pecans with melted butter, then with the cinn/sugar mixture, tossing well. Put the nuts on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 5 - 8 minutes, until the sugar is caramelized. Remove from oven and cool.
Blue Cheese Vinaigrette- Whisk together all ingredients
Salad- Chop the lettuces into small pieces, use spinner to wash and dry them. Slice the gr. onion. Place into large serving bowl. Add the vinaigrette and toss thoroughly. Sprinkle with the gr. onion. Break up the pecans and sprinkle over salad.
