Red Potatoes (3 small per person), cut in quarters
Water
Salt
1/2 stick Butter or margarine
S & P
Milk or Chicken broth (for healthier version)
Instructions
Put potatoes into pot. Just cover with water. Add 1 T salt. Cook until fork does not split potatoes. Drain completely.
Add butter and S&P to taste. Mash with hand mixer or potato masher. To get lumpy potatoes, add milk or broth (cold or room temperature) before completely mashed, for smooth potatoes, add liquid after completely mashed.
For Garlic Mashed, add granulated garlic to taste and continue to mash.
