     Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients
6 peeled Granny Smith Apples, sliced thin
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/3 cup orange juice
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
 
1 tablespoon sugar mixed with 2 tsp. cinnamon
baking spray to grease pan

Instructions
In bowl, beat all ingredients (except apples and sugar/cinnamon mixture) until batter is smooth. Pour ½ of the batter into a greased and floured tube pan. Arrange ½ of the apples over batter and sprinkle with mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Cover with the rest of the batter and top with remaining apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Place in preheated 350 oven. Bake 90 min.
