     Creamy Almond Pesto Pita Dip

Servings   2 cups

Ingredients
2 ounces fresh basil leaves
2 ounces blanched almonds, whole or slivered
2 Tbl. vegan parmesan or nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
3 garlic cloves, crushed
3/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
1/2 c. vegan mayonnaise
1/4 c. water
Freshly ground black pepper
 

Instructions
Place the first 8 ingredients in a food processor and blend until mixture is smooth, pausing 3 to 4 times to scrape down the sides of the bowl. Season to taste with pepper. Refrigerate immediately.
