     Shredded pork shoulder

Ingredients
one 5-7 lb pork shoulder
1/2 cup light brown sugar
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbs cumin
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 onions, coarsely chopped
2 cups broth
1 cup coke
 

Instructions
preheat oven to 300 degrees. rinse and pat dry pork shoulder. mix together the brown sugar, garlic, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper. rub the mixture generously over the pork.
in a large roasting pan add the onions, broth, and coke. place the seasoned pork shoulder in pan and roast for 4-6 hours or until tender. when the pork is tender enough, shred the pork and reserve some of the broth for serving.
serve this pork by itself, on a bun with barbeque sauce, or as pork tacos.
