     Sue's Naples Italian Sauce

Ingredients
6 links of sweet or hot italian sausage
1 lb of stew beef or 4-6 thin small beef steaks
4-6 small thin bonless pork shops
10-12 meatballs homemade or freezer
2 large cans of italian pureed tomatoes
italian seasoning - about 2-3 teaspoons
1/8 teaspoon of sugar
If in a rush...1 small jar of Palmeri's (New Haven,CT) sauce
2 cloves of garlic
 
EVOO

Instructions
Thinly coat bottom of saucepan with EVOO - put in garlic and meat and stir with wooden spoon to lightly brown. Then, add tomato sauce, spices, sugar, 1- 1/2 can of water (what the pureed tomatoes were in) and bring to a gentle rolling boil (usually medium or medium high), stiring making sure not to burn tomatoes or meat. It so, turn down so that it boils, bue does not burn. Let boil for about 30-45 minutes. Then turn down to a low simmer and let cook for a long as you need too - the longer the more tender the meat. Dueing this time you can make garlic bread, salad and prepare pot to boil macaroni.
