Using a vegetable peeler, carefully remove top layer of peel from oranges, avoiding pith. In a medium sauce pan, ombine milk and orange peel. Scald milk over medium low heat. Remove from heat, strain.

Return milk to pan; add espresso, coffee powder, syrup, and sugar. Cook over medium low heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low, and keep warm. Garnish with whipped cream and additional orange peel, if desired.
