1/2 cup butter, softened plus 6 Tbsp.

1 tsp. baking soda
|

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 tsp. salt (optional)

2 eggs

3 cups oats, uncooked

1 tsp. vanilla
|

1 cup rasins
|

1 3/4 all purpose flour

Instructions |

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a big bowl, stir butter and sugars with a mixer on medium setting until creamy.
|

Add eggs and vanilla; stir well. Add already combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
|

|
|
Add oats and raisins. Drop dough by rounded Tbsp. onto ungreased cookie sheets
|
|
|
|
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or unitl a light golden brown. Cool on cool wire rack.
