     Shepards Pie

Ingredients
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Ground Pepper
1 lb ground beef
onion
carrots
frozen peas
fresh thyme finely chopped
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon butter
 
1 glass red wine
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons worcestershire
1 cup stock
mashed potatoes
1 egg beaten
grated parm

Instructions
Preheat oven to 440f Saute Carrots in olive oil till softened add in onions and saute for minute or two then add beef. cook until browned then drain fat add butter and peas sprinkle with flour and stir add tomato paste, wine and worcestershire let reduce slightly and add chicken stock reduce till meaty gravy season to liking remove from heat and grease pan with butter add mixture pour mashed potatoes over top and brush with egg then sprinkle with parm cheese bake for 20 min or until browned on top Serve warm
