     Hot-Pepper Nuts

Ingredients
8 ounces walnuts (2 cups)
1 Tbl. vegan margirine, melted
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 to 2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease jelly-roll pan. In prepared pan, toss walnuts with melted margarine until coated. Bake walnuts, stirring occasionally, until well toasted, about 25 minutes. Drizzle soy sauce and hot pepper sauce over nuts, tossing until well mixed. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Store nuts in air-tight container for up to 1 month.
Variation- Chili Nuts - Substitute 1 Tbl. chili powder and 1/2 tsp. salt for soy sauce and hot pepper sauce. Sweet and Spicy Nuts - Substitute 2 Tbl. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper, and 1/4 tsp. salt for soy sauce and hot pepper sauce.
