Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda,
and salt in bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated
sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat in egg. Gradually add in
the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate or M-M's. Drop
approximately 1 tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 9-11 minutes.
