     Guerina DeAngelis' Panettone

Ingredients
1/4 pound margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 cup candied fruit
 

Instructions
Melt butter and mix with sugar. Beat eggs and add to butter and sugar mix. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Mix milk and lemon extract. Alternately add dry and wet ingredients to egg mixture.
Place in greased tube pan. Spring with colored jimmies, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
