     Quick Crescent Taco Pie

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1 1/4 lb ground beef
1/2 c water
1/2 c chunky salsa
1 can crescent dinner rolls
1 1/2 c crushed corn chips
8 oz sour cream
6 slices American cheese
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
shredded lettuce

diced tomatoes

Instructions
Brown meat in large skillet and drain. Add seasoning mix, water and salsa. Simmer for 5 minutes. Spred crescent roll dough in ungreased Grandma Bonnie's Pie Plate to form crust, pressing edges together at the seams. Sprinkle 1 c corn chips on the crust bottom, reserving the remaining chips for later. Spoon meat mixture into the crust. Spread sour cream over the meat. Cover with cheese slices adn sprinkle on remaining 1/2 c corn chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes until crust is golden brown. Serve lettuce and tomatoes on the side.
I have a recipe that I make which is similar, with a few exceptions- I use shredded cheddar instead of cheese slices, put tomato sauce in the meat instead of salsa, and save the sour cream for a topping. I also serve mine with onions and guacamole, and the salsa and sour cream are sides if desired.
