     Ribbon Nut bread

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 c sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/3 c sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
1 t. grated lemon peel
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine dry ingredients. Add combined oil, milk, eggs, & lemon peel; mixing until just moistened. Fold in nuts; spread 1 c batter into greased 9x3 loaf pan. Top with cream cheese mixture; cover with remaining batter. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan.
