Mix 1 1/2 cups water, 2 Tablespoons butter, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add 1/2 cup milk and 1 1/2 potato flakes. Set aside.
Mix 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup shortening, 1/2 sugar, 1 tsp salt. Set on burner and let warm enough for shortening to melt. Set aside.
Mix 2 cups flour and 1 pkg of yeast. Stir together so yeast won't spoil.
Mix 1st, 2nd, and 3rd steps together. Add eggs and beat for 3 mintues. Mixture will be thin. Add 2 1/2 cups plain flour and mix with your hands. Place into a greased bowl. Turn over so shortening will be on top of dough. Take dough out and roll it out. Melt butter (? amount) and pour on dough. Add sugar and cinnamon to 1 /4 cup sugar. Roll up and cut out. Let rise for about 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 400°.
