1. Bring 3 cups of milk to a gentle boil. Combine
remaining milk with the polenta (corn meal)and
dash of salt; slowly pour into boiling water,
stirring constantly.
2. Cook until thickened, stirring frequently.
3. Cover; continue cooking on low heat 5 minutes;
stir.
4. Turn off heat and add the butter and Parmesan
cheese, stir; add the sour cream; stir. Salt and
pepper to taste.
