Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
In a blender, blend cottage cheese until smooth; Pour into a large bowl.
Add the cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar; Beat until evenly blended.
Add eggs; Beating until well mixed.
Pour mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until wooden stick inserted in the center comes out clean.
While baking, in a small bowl, combine the sour cream, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla; Mix well.
Remove the cake from the oven and spread sour cream mixture evenly over the top.
Bake for 10 minutes longer.
Move to wire rack; Cool completely.
Cut into squares
