Beat egg yolks and 1 whole egg with fork. Add sugar. Add cooled melted butter and beat thoroughly. Add salt, lemon rind and whiskey, beat well. Add flour gradually. Add yeast. (Dissolved in warm water) Knead dough for 10 minutes. Cover and set aside.

When double in bulk, punch down and let rise again. (Covered) Roll out dough and with a cutter or glass, cut circles of dough.

|
Place 1 teaspoon of filling in each. Pinch all ends into a ball and let rise on cookie sheet.
|
|
|
Fry in hot oil, drain on paper towel. Cool and sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar.
