Heat the milk over med heat until almost
simmering.Remove from heat and stir in shortening,
sugar, and salt. Cool to lukewarm (90°).Stir in
yeast. Add eggs and blend lightly. Add 4 c flour
and mix. Turn onto floured surface and knead,
adding the rest of the flour if necessary. (3-4
min) Shape into a ball and place in buttered bowl.
Cover and let rise until doubles, 1-2 hours.
Divide dough in half and roll each to a 8 x 10
rectangle. Brush generously with the melted butter.
Combine the ½ c sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on
the dough. Roll up lengthwise and slice into 1 inch
thick rounds.
For the topping, combine the cream, brown sugar, and
butter in a bowl. Spread on the bottom of a 9 x 13
baking pan. Place the rolls in the pan, cover, and
let rise until double, about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375°. Bake rolls about 20 min.
