4C. Granny smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 Jar Caramel ice cream topping
Preheat oven to 350(F). Spray a 13x9 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine 2C. flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; set aside 2 cups of mixture.
Press remaining crumb mixture into bottom of preapared pan. Top evenly with chopped apples.
In a small bowl, combine caramel and remiaing 1/4C. flour. Pour evenly over apples. Top with reserved crub mixture.
Bake for 33 to 36 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely. Chill for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars to serve.
Best served the day they are made. Do not freeze.
