Mix dry ingredients and add milk, batter shoudl be fairly thick. Add onion and mix thoroughly. Drop by spoonfuls into melted fat or oil in skillet. Brown one side, turn and flatten as you would for pancakes. When done place on paper towel to drain and salt. Tastes like onion rings.
