     Cherry Torte

Ingredients
Crust
20 graham crackers, crushed or 2 c. chow mein
noodles, crushed or 2 c ring pretzels, crushed
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
Cheese Filling
8 oz cream cheese
1 t. vanilla
 
2 c. whipped cream
1/2 c. powdered sugar
Cherry Filling
1 can cherry pie filling
1/8 t. almond flavoring
1/4 c sugar
few drops red food color

Instructions
Crust- Combine and pat into a 9x9 pan and bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Filling- Beat together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Fold in whipped cream. Spread cheese mixture over cracker crumbs Cherry Filling- Add sugar and food color to pie filling and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add almond flavoring at once. Cool and spread over cream cheese filling. Refrigerate.
