Preheat oven to 350. Saute onion in butter untiransparent. Add sauce, chilies, cumin, salt and red pepper. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Layer in butter 9x9 pan; half tortilla chips, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 hamburger and 1/2 sauce. Repeat once.
Bake for 2o minutes. Remove from onion and spread sour cream on top. Sprinkle with ceddar cheese. Bake an additonal 5-10 minuts.
