     Grandma Fanny's Aebleskivers

Ingredients
3 eggs, beaten
2 c. milk
2 c. cake flour
2 t. sugar
3 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
Crisco and butter for greasing pan
powdered sugar for dusting
 

Instructions
Combine eggs, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat until batter is similar to pancake batter. Add flour if needed. Place aebleskiver pan over medium heat; add equal amounts of Crisco and butter to mokds until each is about 1/3 full. When shortening sizzles, add enough batter to almost reach mold tops. Cood for 3 minutes or until a brown shell has formed around bottom of mold, flip aebleskivers. Cook for 3 minutes more or until well browned on other side. Remove from pan. Serve warm, sprinkled with sugar or honey or applesauce.
