htly greased bowl. Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Add larg and 1/2 flour; beat until smooth. Add salt and the rest of the flour. Put on floured board and knead well. Put dough in a ligthly greased bowl. Let rise in a warm place. Punch down and let rise again. Pinch off bits like a small biscuit. Make a small indentation. Put in filling and let rise about 1/2 hour. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for about 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
Prune Filling- Grind pitted prunes, then add other ingredients and mix well. You can use as is or cook a little for improved consistency & gloss. If cooked allow to cool before you use.
Apricot Filling-
Grind apricots, add other ingredients and mix well. May use dried peaches for some of apricots.
Butter Crunch Topping-
Combine all ingredients and mix until crumbly. This may be used as a topping for any filled kolatches.
