     Six Week Bran Muffins

Ingredients
(15 oz) box Raisin Bran Cereal
3 cups sugar
5 cups flour
5 teaspoons soda
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon nutmeg
1 cup melted shortening or oil
4 eggs beaten
 
1 quart buttermilk

Instructions
In very large bowl, mix dry ingredients; add eggs, milk and oil. Mix well. (Add blueberries, nuts, dates or extra raisins, if desired.) Fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Store extra batter in covered container in refrigerator. Date, Good 6 weeks. Makes 4 dozen. Freeze well.
