A day or two before serving, drain syrup from pineapple and put in a medium saucepan, add all remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Add pineapple chucks and heat to boiling. Refrigerate.
Can be used for salad by placing pineapple chucks on lettuce leaves and topping with cottage cheese.

Should be served cold. Drain pineapple and serve with cocktail picks.
