Cut off stems and 1 inch across top of each artichoke. Trim tips. Brush with lemon juice.

Melt 6 tablespoons margarine and add the bay leaf, garlic and oregano to taste.

|
Place each artichoke in a custard cup. Pour 1/2 of the margarine mixture over each. Thinly slice the lemon and place between leaves.
|
|
|
Cover each with plastic wrap. MICROWAVE cook each for 5 minutes. Rotate and cook another 5 minutes. Let stand 2-3 minutes before serving.
